"A Brave Guy and Wind" [1996]
Song: Knyazev (text), Gorsheniov (music, lead vocal)
"I am not one of the timid! I can make it! I am strong and deft – I will teach the wind a lesson!"
A strong wind blew and tore roofs off the houses, and, despite the late hour, hardly anyone was sleeping in the neighborhood. The natural spirit turned dreadfully vicious.
Suddenly, some guy ran out, screaming, and began to wave his broom: "Ah, wind, you rascal, you disturbed my sleep! Come on! Let’s fight!"
"I am not one of the timid! I can make it! I am strong and deft – I will teach the wind a lesson!"
And the wind whirled and rushed about, and began to tear trees out with the roots. "Where did this madman come from that he wants to fight with the wind?"
But the guy was not giving up and kept on waving his broom, and moving off deep into the fields. And, really, he was not that bad in fighting with the wind, and the wind was getting angrier.
"I am not one of the timid! I can make it! I am strong and deft – I will teach the wind a lesson!"
All of a sudden, the broom flew away, whistling, with the brave guy after it. After that, the night became calmer, and the fool disappeared in the darkness.
In the morning, shepherds found him in a haystack. He was sleeping deep, and the wind was singing a song to him and tousling gently his curls.
"I am not one of the timid! I can make it! I am strong and deft – I will teach the wind a lesson!"
