"The Gathering" [1996]
Song: text and music by M. Gorsheniov
Under an oak, the old friends gathered. Crockery rattles in the woods: dinner has been cooked. A huge table is already laid, and a wonderful pig fried; and a cheerful troll is bearing a keg of good beer.
Since ancient times, as it is always used to be, the friends meet once in a year. Oh, how many of them are gathered here! The fairy creatures are having a good time!
King is sitting opposite Forester. Forester is to the right shoulder of Jester. Nearby, the gnomes are singing songs about mountains.
Stories! Everyone, who came here, will tell you! This is the rule of the gathering, and the will of Knyaz is such! There is no fool who would not pour himself some beer! And, clanking with mugs, the old friends will get drunk.
And, leaning on a golden stick, in the guise of the darkness, there stands none other than the Russian knyaz and sorcerer Vassily!
I closed the book, and the forest disappeared somewhere. But I hear the leaves rustling and the old friends singing...
