A sorcerer suddenly became possessed by evil. To save his soul, we, with the whole village, decided to do something to him... I remember the rage of his crazy eyes: he did not conceal his anger. He hated us all: "Yes, I will return, I give a word!"

He played his terrible role to the end, he laughed in the fire without feeling any pain. Panic fear kept people even when the wind had dispersed his ashes away and scattered his dust in the vastness.

The first victim was a priest - I kept writing down the whole story. The wind killed him, or, to be precise, brought him to death! And every year from now on, this very day, we used to find dead people. Maybe I was on the black list as well, but, for some reason, the wind did not touch me and did not let me out of the house.

I remember that moment when, from the fire, a fierce look fell on me, and I was seeking for salvation in strong wine from the stories that the wind told me. "I will live," he shouted, "forever, forever! You will be writing about me! You will be serving me forever, forever! Since I could not avoid the fire, you won’t be able to hide from the wind..."
